1. We need a poll of polls.
These polls are all over the place. It looks like a range of 36-45 approval. Maybe somebody with resources will put together a summary of the polls. Or, maybe something like that already exists.

This would give us a more stable measurement of trends.

3. LOL...
Rasmussen tends to tilt right. I'm not sure about the proclivities of ARG (The 36 percent poll)

6. Yes, that's the issue.
I trust Zogby more than the others. I especially distrust Rasmussen and Gallup. But it's not good statistics to throw away polls just because you don't trust them without a statistical reason to do so.

That's why a summary poll should be used to track the trends. The errors will average out and we should have a fairly good, and at least consistent measure.

I'm serious about this.

2. problem is, that 45 or so percent is united behind him 100%
the rest of us cannot seem to get enough consensus
stoked up between us to build up any steam.
This is why he keeps on steam rolling us.

5. we can't get consensus because we all have separate agendas
Just look at DU. There are hundreds of groups that refuse to do anything for a candidate that doesn't support their own pet cause 110%. This is why we can't get traction - we're too busy fighting our own instead of attacking them. We can't seem to realize that if we get enough people with the (D) next to their names into office that the guys who support our pet causes will be able to do their work.

4. What would be nice...
If Rasmussen would get some real polling information and stop just pulling numbers out of his Republican ass...

THAT would be nice.

Rasmussen (45%) - ARG (36%) = 9% Pure Rasmusslican Crap

7. Rasmussen is fun to watch

I love watching their weekend 4-5% Republican blip show up and then disappear as they poll into the workweek. It's really bipolar stuff. (If you poll on weekends, you get 10-15% elevated Republican numbers, mostly on Sundays, because Democrats tend to be younger and off away from home doing stuff.)

Gallup has been running polls over weekends lately too. Cheap little trick to run Republican numbers a little higher there.

8. Rassmussen Is Almost As Bad As Gallup
And that's pretty bad. They've got a good 5pt (at least) pro Repub (Bush) slant.
