Bill O'Reilly: "Bush's tax cuts after 9/11 SAVED THE ECONOMY"
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,166615,00.html

President Bush could go down in history as another Ronald Reagan (search) or another Warren Harding (search). We'll know over the next few months. As you may know, the president's job approval rating is dropping into dangerous territory, the low 40's. If he falls much farther, his power to get things done falls as well. Three things are bedeviling Mr. Bush — chaos in Iraq, chaos on the southern border, and high gas prices. The president either deals effectively with those issues or risks going down in history as a failure. And that is the no-spin truth.

If the Bush administration cannot break the back of terrorism in Iraq, all the other good things will be forgotten. And the situation must improve soon, as the president is losing domestic support.

In five years, the Bush administration has added about 1,000 new border parole agents, but millions, millions of illegal aliens continue to get into this country, along with a record amount of narcotics. Clearly, border security is not a success for the Bush administration.

The president has done many good things. His tax cuts after 9/11 saved the economy. His aggressive terror fighting policies have badly damaged al Qaeda. And his support for traditional America has made it difficult for the far left to change this country through the courts. So Mr. Bush, in my opinion, has not done a bad job overall, but Iraq oil and the border threaten a derailment. The presidency is a performance business, but he still has time to turn things around. And that's "The Memo."

5. Then the spending killed it again.
Funny how the party that spends too much is called the Conservative party, and the party that goes by "pay as you go" is called the Liberal party. Everything is backwards.

8. It's not saved yet
I'm picturing the economy as Bernie. As in "Weekend at Bernies". The administration has something rigged up to it so that it can wave once in a while.

That would be in July. The biggest drop in 18+ months. Tax cuts did wonders for asses like O'Reilly, didn't do shit for the working class.

16. Debt
When you factor in all the free money floated by this White House, it's amazing that the economy isn't doing the best ever.

When anyone lives off a credit card, the way b**h is doing, it all looks pretty good 'til the bills come due.

15. The major tax cuts were BEFORE 9-11; how is this leadership in the fray?
The sheer lunacy of the lies that accompany tax cutting is breathtaking.

The major tax cuts were instituted before 9-11. The Reagan tax cuts were a colossal failure. Debt of others seems to mean nothing to those who have great piles and get to keep more.

Individuals with mountains of cash cost us all; it's not "free" and it's not none of our business.

This is just revisionist claptrap of the worst kind: 9-11, although it's the best excuse for a monarchic little nobody to do whatever he damn well pleases, simply isn't the cause of many policies that have been enacted, and it only takes cursory glances at the record to see that.

O'Reilly is saying that the tax cuts were a reaction to 9-11, the universal trump card for fucking the weak. It simply isn't true; the major tax cuts were enacted before, and the subsequent ones were already in the works when the big excuse showed up.

So he could pay the damages for his sexual harrassment lawsuit defense. What a meathead -- dead from the neck up.

19. O Really??? The economy was saved because of tax cuts....???
How so? Please elaborate....we need to know what is so great about this econ of ours....From my side of the fence,,, it could be a whole lot BETTER.

We have FEAR in our midsts, paranoia even.

We have higher interest rates....

We have a shortage in our Armed Forces due to wars...many are not re enlisting... thus weakening ourselves with over extension and dilution...

We have an enormous fuel burden added to our already burdened masses.

We have our schools making decisions whether or not to include ID in our SCIENCE Classes....as a science when its clearly not a science....

etc etc....

OReally is a PUB WHORE/// Bill has sold his soul to the Pub Devils....

24. I thought Bill said he would never trust this administration again...
Right before U.S. forces invaded Iraq, O'Reilly made a bold promise on ABC about Iraq's WMDs: "If the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush Administration again, all right?"

Fuck Bill!!
