Iraq's 'Elephant in the Living Room' - Bush\Cheney Treason Post 9/11

The thing people don't talk about when they say that Bush and Cheney fixed the facts to get us into war with Iraq, is that this same fixing of facts co-opted the War on Terror away from the Terrorists, and toward their own personal agenda.

To illustrate an equivalent, let's say when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt decides to divert the American military to invade Indonesia because he's always felt they were a threat. What effect might that have had on our ability to fight the war against Japan?

Many have said that Bush and Cheney did not commit treason by falsifying the facts in the run up to the Iraq war. But if co-opting the military so that it CAN'T fight our real enemies with it's full force and power isn't treason, then what is?

The constitution defines treason as 'giving aid and comfort to the enemy.' Well, isn't diverting the military to Iraq, rather than concentrating their forces on Al Qaeda, giving aid and comfort to Al Qaeda by relieving them of the worry of having US Military boots up their *ss?

The American people would not have allowed Roosevelt to divert the military from it's justifiable duty to attack Japanese forces just to further his own personal agenda. By the same token, we should NOT allow the Bush Administration to get away with co-opting our military for themselves, while the national security interests of the United States are left wanting.

The Bush Administration must be held accountable, and it's our duty as citizens to make sure that happens.
