At this point both our government and media don't represent most Americans |
|
How bizarre is that?
Since polls show Bush's approval headed south of 40%, the number one task of the media should be exploring the lack of confidence Americans have in Bush, and the failed nature of his policies.
The number one task of the other party should be speaking out against the Bush Administration, and taking stands 180 degrees from those of the Neocons. That the Democrats aren't doing this indicates they are unwilling to fight for us even when it would be easy! They have everything to gain, and nothing to lose.
We need to demand representation. Last time I checked, we were still a Democracy.

1. Very good points. There seems to be a direct correlation |
|
between the fall of the house of bush, and the lack of testicles on the other side. Kerry seems to have been the first to have lost his, the others seemed to have volunteered theirs, no questions asked. It looks like both sides are in cahoots against the American people. I'm totally disgustipated, no matter what the excuses might be.

3. You would think the Dems would be trampling each other..... |
|
to take advantage of the huge window of opportunity which has opened up.
Something very strange is going on.
I think the Democrats have bought into the Neocon lie that this country has taken a huge swing to the right. And its made them unable to trust what is right before their eyes.

8. Yeah, you'd think they would. But I also believe there's something |
|
strange going on. Something that has nothing to do with democracy.

6. I was thinking that same thing last night..... |

If we had even a half-way decent media, Bush would be nothing but a wet smear on the wall of history.
Once again, that Bush is going down inspite of owning the media should be and indication to the Dems to seize the day!

The Democrats, for the most part, are bought and paid for just like the rethugs? I think that just may be the answer. Sarcasm intended.

7. But they still want the power, right? |
|
Democrats could be fighting, if only for themselves. But they seem like deers caught in the headlights of history.

9. I share the opinion that something really strange is going on. |
|
I've done research and uncovered all the corruption. But this seems to go beyond that. It's almost as if the entire government has agreed to be silent for some reason, and let Bush spout as he may. The press has decided the same thing.
Could it be because of Fitzgerald, and they're all just waiting for it to hit the fan and they can speak freely again?
Or is it something really sinister that we don't know about yet?
Jeez Louise, the way these guys have been acting, you'd think it was 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. I keep expecting to see alien ships in the sky or something.

11. Yes, maybe the Dems are standing back and allowing Bush to self-destruct.. |
|
on his own, and trying to avoid distracting attention from it. At least I hope that's the explaination.
But as you point out, they are doing a little too good of a job doing nothing in response to Bush.
