"Move America Forward" founder: NeoCon with political ambitions of his own
NOTE FROM B_E_B: So much for the "Cindy is a tool of the far left" bullshit. Look at the bottom of this post for a little background on the founder of "Move America Forward."

CRAWFORD, Texas (CNN) -- A dirt road divided hundreds of supporters and protesters of the Iraq war as they rallied Saturday in near-100-degree heat outside President Bush's Texas ranch.

About 1,000 Bush supporters -- more than the population of Crawford -- poured into the area for their rally. Many of them arrived in a caravan from California bearing the message: "You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy!"

The founder of Move America Forward, Howard Kaloogian, accused Cindy Sheehan, the sponsor of the anti-war protest, of encouraging the very insurgency in Iraq that killed her son.

"The terrorists that are watching Cindy Sheehan's protest believe that this is something that might topple the current administration." Kaloogian said. "And I have a question that I want the media to begin asking Cindy Sheehan: How many more American soldiers are going to die because you are giving hope and encouragement to our enemies?"

Who pays the bills for "Move America Forward?"

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/russo.html

A web site has launched a campaign to deter theater owners from showing Michael Moore's film, "Fahrenheit 9-11". A list of theaters currently committed to showing the film is provided along with exhortations to call and demand that the film be dropped. Some theater owners are reporting receiving death threats.

This web site, "http://moveamericaforward.org", is actually an alias for "http://moveamericaforward.com". A DNS check reveals that "http://moveamericaforward.com" is being run by a Public Relations firm out of San Francisco.

Russo Marsh & Rogers is a political public relations firm with strong ties to the GOP. Sal Russo, a principle in Russo Marsh & Rogers, served as advisor for the "Recall Grey Davis" campaign.

So, I guess we know just who is behind the campaign of threats and harassment against theaters showing Moore's film!

UPDATE: Following the first publication of this article, the WHOIS database for moveamericaforward.org has been changed to conceal their links to Russo Marsh & Rogers.

Note the phone number on the above record, 9164416192. It's actually the phone nuber of a BAR in Sacramento called "The Downtown Purgatory".! The FAX number 1.9164416057 is the FAX number for Russo Marsh & Rogers

ANOTHER UPDATE - The DNS record for moveamericaforward.org has been changed yet agian to remove all names.Nothing is left now but the name server lookups and the registration company. The registrar's name has been removed.

Sal Russo himself is still listed on the MoveAmericaForward site. Here are some links about him.

4. More info:
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Howard_Kaloogian

Howard Kaloogian is a partisan attorney and Republican member of the California State Assembly between 1994 and 2000 from California. In 2003, he was behind the successful campaign to get the CBS television network to drop the planned broadcast of the miniseries, "The Reagans."

Kaloogian, along with GOP political consultant Sal Russo, controversial strategist David Gilliard, and former Newt Gingrich and Enron pollster Frank Luntz, worked hard to secure funding and political support for California's October 2003 gubernatorial recall election, in which movie actor Arnold Schwarzenegger unseated Democratic incumbent Gray Davis. In June 2004, he was one of the sponsors of Move America Forward, a Republican effort to prevent movie theatres from showing Michael Moore's documentary film, "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Kaloogian unsuccessfully ran as a Republican aspirant in the primaries for the U.S. Senate in the 2004 election.

Group That Opposes U.N. To Run Ad Backing Bolton

By Brian Faler and Dana Milbank
Monday, April 11, 2005; Page A04

A conservative advocacy group called Move America Forward is planning to run a television ad this week promoting John R. Bolton's appointment as ambassador to the United Nations.

The ad notes the candidate's support for "American values," mocking Democrats who "blame America first" and making little mention of the United Nations itself. But a visit to the organization's Web site would seem to confirm the fears of Democrats who say the administration has named a longtime U.N. critic to the job. Senate confirmation hearings open today on the nomination.

"We tell other countries not to harbor organizations that support terrorists. Why, then, do we harbor the U.N. here in America?" said an announcer in a video on the group's site. "Join us as we help move America forward by kicking the U.N. out of the U.S."

Howard Kaloogian, co-chairman of the California-based group, said it is backing Bolton because of his support for President Bush's policies -- not because his confirmation would necessarily advance the group's goal of sending the U.N. packing. Bolton "will promote the administration's position, not Move America Forward's," he said. "I've never even considered that."
