Biden...what a loser
I just heard him say "I don't know" on This Week probably 10 times in a row. What a waffling flimsy weasely idiot.

All he knows is whats obvious to everbody.

Oh, and he tries to throw a low blow at Gary Hart, nothing specific, just that he is insulted at being asked to answer something Hart has said.

2. He can't even speak for himself.
What a horrible performance. He gives flip flop a bad name. He is toast as a Pres. candidate.

15. He needs an INTERVENTION!
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 10:59 AM by Totally Committed
Like any other kind of addict (Biden is addicted, it appears, to being on Sunday talk-shows so that the sound of his voice -- which he loves -- can be shared with Americans who watch them), he needs to have people who care about him or who are invested in him in some way (staff, supporters, people who do the bookings for him) sit him down and tell him the gods-honest truth about what he is doing.

I feel like I am watching a political suicide, in slo-mo, one Sunday at a time, and I have to wonder why NO ONE with any influence with him seems to be saying "Joe, enough! Take a month, month-and-a-half, off and lie low. Maybe they'll forget what an asshole you've been..." You gotta wonder if he has the kind of staff that doesn't have the balls to say it, or if he's just too big of a groin to listen. Either way, it doesn't auger well for a Presidential campaign. He's a joke.

TC

"Biden is a jerk". But the good news is that Wes Clark was excellent on Meet the Press.

After a full year of spam, they finally realized I wasn't taking their fucking card. How many trees had to die for that? :(

13. Thanks for the link
Hart:

"But what will history say about an opposition party that stands silent while all this goes on? My generation of Democrats jumped on the hot stove of Vietnam and now, with its members in positions of responsibility, it is afraid of jumping on any political stove. In their leaders, the American people look for strength, determination and self-confidence, but they also look for courage, wisdom, judgment and, in times of moral crisis, the willingness to say: "I was wrong."

10.  I dreamed about Biden last night
I dreamed that I basically told him off. He was standing at a buffet table in the middle of a large conference room filled with people who were given an opportunity to ask questions, but I didn't have a question. I got up and said -- with gusto -- something about ALL politicians are corrupt, if not when they start then by the time they're done. He shot me a dirty look in response.

12. Biden is making a very important point!
He is making the point that Democrats are not Republicans. Dems do not make plans based on fantasy rather that facts. We have no facts from this administration. All we have is fantasy. So naturally we "don't know" what to do.

14. He should know
he should know that nothing Condisleeza tells him on the phone can be believed, and thats what he should have said instead of "I don't know". Perception.

16. Biden is a US Senator. He cannot call Rice a liar . Even when she is.
We have had to make enough "apologies" lately for telling the truth. Of course a Republican can say anything. But they own the media. This is not "defeatist". It is reality.

I agree that language should be carefully chosen. Lets agree to disagree on whether he chose effectively.

23. I am no fan of Biden. But I thought he was pretty effective today.
He pointed out that all the suggestions of Dems have been totally ignored by the media and Bush. Yet everytime Bush makes things worse the cry from the media is "where is the democratic plan". As if the Republicans have one? It is an absurd question because the goalposts keep moving with every blunder Bush makes.

18. IMHO the media is ready to give them a voice on this issue
They're not stepping up to the plate.

Public opinion has turned against the war in Iraq, and the news media knows it. I think they're willing to let Dems voice their alternative, but aren't interested in just hearing platitudes from someone running for 2008.

The George Stephanopolous (sic) presents Biden as the voice of the Democrats. Pukes both of them!
