Soon, the Bush will make a token appearance in New Orleans
for some Photo Ops....prolly stand on the dyke when the waves come crashing through...I hope....

The pressure is on him to say something...especially after the first attempt went bad when he switched channels and talked about his WAR....

So now, its clean up the act time...as he has for 5 years, one excuse after another....

With this guy, there is no Gain....only PAIN

18. Oh definitely, but you know how Bush acts he wouldn't have
sent the LA Guard to Iraq if he wasn't "forced by events," to attack Iraq.
Where many leaders cultivate an illusion of complete control Bush cultivates an illusion of being trapped on a certain course because of a series of events. It diminishes his responsibility, because if their are negative consequences to his actions they were "inevitable" You see what I'm saying?

Him and Jebby run around looking at destruction, shake a few hands and give several bullshit speechs. Months later it was still a GD disaster with Bush not really doing anything about it.

he might show up long after the danger has passed and show up for some Photo-Ops. He'll be standing safely by a delivery truck, handing out 1-gallon bottles of water.

He'll feel real good about it, too. (smiles, but doesn't want to smile too much. It might make him seem insincere. Must look serious, "I feel your pain" kind of thing).

Plus, he'll me calculating how much F.E.M.A. money he has to part with. He'll want to make sure there's some left for Ole Jeb.

Blood is thicker than water, you know.

I'm really hoping, praying for Katrina to at least not hit it directly and/or to drop from category 5 to something lower.

Storms are awesome displays of nature, I like to follow them, but this one is so potentially destructive and dangerous.

I hope everyone gets evacuated to high ground. Physical high ground, that is.

Some would never make it to the moral high ground.

38. Be prepared for when he compares it to 9/11, he will, you know.
anytime there is a flood, hurricane, fire, tornado, anything that has destroyed building, he reaches into his pocket sprinkles them will whiffle dust until their eye's glaze over and then starts spouting about 9/11. Given that the 4th anniversary is just around the corner, you can depend on it.

This guy has gotten more mileage out of 9/11 then and old buick with bald tires.
