Strategizing a Christian Coup d'Etat (story from LA Times)
Strategizing a Christian Coup d'Etat
A group of believers wants to establish Scriptures-based government one city and county at a time.

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/0828-03.htm

excerpt:

GREENVILLE, S.C. - It began, as many road trips do, with a stop at Wal-Mart to buy a portable DVD player.

But Mario DiMartino was planning more than a weekend getaway. He, his wife and three children were embarking on a pilgrimage to South Carolina.

"I want to migrate and claim the gold of the Lord," said the 38-year-old oil company executive from Pennsylvania. "I want to replicate the statutes and the mores and the scriptures that the God of the Old Testament espoused to the world."

4. Some of these guys are truly dangerous freaks
There's a faction of these extremists called the "Creator's Rights Party" who plan on burning a flag on Sept 3 to commemmorate the anniversary of Paul Hill's execution.

For those who don't recognize the name, Paul Hill was a fundie extremist "minister" who shot up an abortion clinic, killing a doctor and his bodyguard in the process. He never expressed one shred of remorse for the murders, and in fact claimed "God" told him to do it in order to save unborn babies.

And now these Creators Rights fucks consider Hill a hero. Also participating in their flag ceremony will be Lee Horsely, who recently admitted on the Alan Colmes radio show that he fucked mules while growing up in rural Georgia.

Yeah, there's a moral role model for anybody :puke:

These guys have been completely brainwashed. How can anyone speak like this and be taken seriously? Reclaim the oil of the world? What sick disease is this?
