Al Sharpton Speaks at Camp Casey and Wedding Bells Chime for Activist Couple

The Rev. Al Sharpton joined hundreds of war protesters outside of Bush’s Crawford, TX ranch, at Camp Casey, for an interfaith service today. He said he felt compelled to meet with Cindy Sheehan, who started the anti-war rally three weeks earlier outside of Bush’s ranch.


Sharpton joined Sheehan in laying roses at the crosses near Camp Casey today.

“I feel that it is our moral obligation to stand and to be courageous with these families, and particularly Cindy, that have become the conscience of this nation,” said Sharpton, an activist and former Democratic presidential candidate.

I love the pictures. :) Do you know how many people are really there? I also thought it was so romantic the couple got married. I wonder how long they've known each other and all that. In any case, I wish them all the luck. :) What a story that will be to tell their children!
