(LOL)"Thousands" at pro-W rally -- then they turn on themselves
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 11:05 AM by underpants
I must have missed this on Fox News over the weekend. There was supposed to be a big pro-War (huh?) pro-W rally at the Crawford High School football stadium this weekend but I haven't seen any footage of the throngs who showed up.

Anyone? Anything?

Oh I found this "THOUSANDS"-see second link, nice headline of the same article on the first link huh?

Protesters swarm Crawford
http://www.theeagle.com/stories/082805/texas_20050828005.php

"Swarm"?????????

Pro-Bush protesters rally and tussle in support of Iraq war

http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2005/08/29/2003269616

AP , CRAWFORD, TEXAS
Monday, Aug 29, 2005,Page 7

Several thousand people descended on US President George W. Bush's adopted hometown, attending a rally supporting him or arriving for the last leg of an anti-war demonstration near his ranch.

Several times the crowd of about 1,500 chanted, "Cindy, go home!"

"THOUSANDS" AP??? like the "thousands" of anti-war protestors BEFORE the war?

Organizers estimated the size of the crowd at more than 2,000, but it appeared smaller.

TOO DAMNED FUNNY

At the pro-Bush rally, there were some heated moments when two members of Protest Warrior, a group that frequently holds counter-protests to anti-war rallies, walked in with a sign reading "Say No to War -- Unless a Democrat is President."

Many Bush supporters only saw the top of the sign and believed the men were war protesters, so they began shouting and chasing the pair out. One man tore up their signs.

2. Not ONE photograph from the event?
Everybody forgot their camera or something?

There isn't enough synchronicity in the collected works of Jung and Sting together for me to believe that one.

14. I count 38 in that picture
Of the few pictures I've seen, this is the one with the bigest collection of people in it.

And I was being VERY loose with what I counted as a person. Basically, I counted ANYTHING that looked like it either was or belonged to a person.

Free Republic is a big web forum. And they can't turn out more than a hundred people or so?

I especially liked the part about "Liberal Taskmasters".

He didn't make it himself LOL so she went probably trying to make money to cover the paternity settlement against him last month (from the 80's during their marriage) and she got heckled by THEM!!!

How small of a crowd do you have to have to hear all the heckles?

in a town w/ a population of 750? I didn't see a high school. I did see a baseball/football field next to Tonkawa Falls City Park but that is maintained by the city.

I love this
'..."You are giving hope and encouragement to the enemies of America," said former California Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian, a Republican who co-founded Move America Forward, the group that coordinated the rally...'

hope and encouragement TO the ENEMIES of America? Well ,in a round-about way I suppose a pro-war rally would be encouraging to budding terrorists...either that or he was channeling the pretzeldent at that particular moment.

20. That seems to be press edicts.
My local Paper ran a headline that said, "Thousands Protest War." The next days headline read "Millions Protest War." I guess you have to have dual headlines for a two faced President. Something tells me he's not going to be waving a poll in the countries face. Unless Gallop is conducting a poll of 1,000 Halliburton executives.

22. What is with these people?
"...Deena Burnett, whose husband, Tom, was on the fourth plane hijacked Sept. 11, 2001, said he and the other passengers fought the terrorists before their plane crashed in a Pennsylvania field.

"Now it's up to us to continue what he started," Burnett said Saturday to cheers from those at the pro-Bush rally."

"Continue what he started" :wtf:

How many Iraqi people were among the hijackers? They are so blinded by their loyalty to Bush, they can't even see the stupidity of that reasoning.

Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 08:55 AM by Kashka-Kat
that was the whole point of cindy's presence, there is no mission.

god -- around and around we go.

There's not even much of a feeble excuse for a mission, let alone a valid and worthwhile one.

33. I guess the "protest warriors" overestimated the intelligence ...
...of their audience. Always a risk with irony, even the not too subtle kind.

And given that their audience were all Bush's brownshirts, it shouldn't have surprised them.
