ABC Family added disclaimer (at end of 700 Club)

The cable channel ABC Family has changed the disclaimer at the end of its telecasts of the Christian Broadcasting Network's (CBN) The 700 Club. The new disclaimer appeared on August 29 following host Pat Robertson's call on August 22 for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez:

(Seems a rather weak disclaimer. I would have gone with something more like ""The preceding CBN telecast does not reflect the views of anyone with at least two neural synapses to rub together.")

1. They were being villified for supporting Robertson...

So ABC changed the disclaimer finally. If the Roberston network doesn't shape up they should be cancelled, IMO, they need their own cable channel and not ABC to be their mouthpiece.

That's why they can't cancel the 700 Club. ABC Family Channel was originally CBN Cable, and when Pat sold the network, first to FOX and then to ABC, he made sure he had that clause written in, that the 700 Club would always air three times a day on the channel.

If they do, they all need a lot more than Jesus to help them.

Someone on that network needs to take some real responsibility for what he has done. A disclaimer falls quite short of that. Pathetic, imo.

5. They should NOT be allowed to broadcast

this program on a "family" network at all. Move his butt to the midnight-6 a.m. time slot.

6. What a joke of a channel

I caught it while at a nail salon and I wanted to vomit. With shows like "Beautiful People (fucking)" and movies like "Cruel Intentions", how can you call yourself a FAMILY channel? I wouldn't want my kids watching that movie. That is suitable for adults only, IMO. What a crappy masquerade. Garbage!
