Its so damned bad I'm stunned. They said a bunch of seals |
|
were found in a neighborhood and people are putting water on them. They don't know what to do with them. Someone shot one to 'put it out of its misery'. I can hardly look at pictures. Animals sitting stoically and stunned, people stuck in hell. I can't picture America and see this. Where the hell is the massive rescue that this deserves? How about call ups of guards from surrounding unaffected states?
I have never hated Bush and the pugs like I do now. This levee system was supposed to be fixed up and they cut the money. I wonder if the pugs have a cost per death analysis of this that allowed this to happen. Trent Lott deserved to lose his damned house. No one else did.
I am so sorry, gulf states. I am so sorry.
RV, watching the horror from Alaska and feeling like I'm on the moon.

three seals from an animal park that were washed up in a parking lot.
I know one was shot by police to put it out of its misery. I suspect the other two didn't survive the "trip".
Heartbreaking, but the humane thing to do. There's nowhere to take an injured seal.

5. In defense of the first responders... |
|
they have to get through the mess the rest of the people are dealing with.
The first step is assessing the problem and knowing where to start. I'm sure they're doing the best they can. The massive rescue always starts small and builds. People are being helped.

8. The weather channel showed one seal in a hotel pool |
|
It looked happy enough.
They also showed one that was in a mud puddle where a tree had been uprooted and said people were going to try to rescue it.

9. I know they tried. God bless them, all of them animal and people. |

This is the worst catastrophe I've ever experienced in 52 years. The tsunami people, this must be like that. So awful, so beyond belief. There is something so terrible about seeing a dog sitting on a roof all silent and waiting.

10. They're (the MSM) starting to blame the victims to cover *'s ass. |
|
Earlier tonight CNN was reading emails from people who think the storm victims should pay fines for not evacuating before the storm. The looting is being played up pretty good, also.

11. The help that they need is in Iraq. |

Except for Bush. He's trying to recall how to make political hay out of Americans' fear and pain.
