Shouldn't the president address the nation and rally everyone around
the gulf coast? Is this not a major event?

1. You expect a lot from a compassionate president, don't ya?
You really thinks he gives a flying flip? He's gotta get his SS song and dance done while others lie floating in sewage and thousands are homeless.
:sarcasm:

2. Come on the president has advisors. Not one of them has a brain?
Oh wait I forgot. Who ever speaks up in this administration about doing what's right gets fired, demoted or their entire life destroyed in the media. No wonder he has done it.

4. Oh, he will. They're going to turn this into a major
PR event for the Bushistas (without actually helping the people, of course). And the people will buy it as usual - why aren't Democrats all over the country screaming their lungs out right now, stuffing the pictures of cake-eating, guitar-playing Bush into everybody's face? That might turn the tide, but no, they're silent als alwaws.

12. Dubya is due in the area on Friday for his PR "I care" event.
Perhaps he can stand on a pile of rubble and shout through a bull horn again. It worked so very well for him after 9/11--the American media swooned in unison!
