PLEASE PLEASE tell me his approval rating won't rise over this |
|
So many thousands of people are dead or dying right now. And yes, all efforts right now should be completely focused on saving lives. But in the back of my head, I keep thinking, 'this bastard will find a way to improve his abyssmal ratings out of this unfolding tragedy'. And you just KNOW he'll screw the (former) residents of New Orleans one way or another, just like he screwed the residents of NYC after 9/11.
And so I find myself in this strange position where I'm more incensed at this idiot than I ever have been (didn't know this was possible, but it is). At the same time, I have a feeling of dread thinking that fucknose will score political points from the deaths of thousands of poor minorities.
Someone tell me I'm wrong. I want very badly to be wrong about this.

1. I don't think so. Most people noticed he was on vacation for the |
|
first three days of this disaster. And not in a good way.

2. No. He will pay the price for this. |
|
the public cannot miss his gross negligence and criminal incompetence. there will be a cost. Now more than ever the public will figure out that he is one of the worst presidents in our history -- maybe the worst.

5. You've got to be wrong |
|
How could anyone be impressed by his absence of leadership? his absolute failure to do anything until more than two days after the hurricane struck? The reason for his failure --- he was on his 5 week vacation. I've got to be believe that his approval rating will take a nosedive after this.

7. Maybe it was the WDSU anchors that made me despair |
|
After Bush's speech, they were both fawning over him. Stuff like, "Whether you're Dem or Repbulican, whether you like him or not, you know that when he makes a promise, he carries through, blah, blah....". Maybe they're just grasping at straws.

victims were saying that he managed to reach FLorida quickly - people are unbelievably angry - he will not escape this anger this time. A friend sent me an email - he paid over $5 for gas today after waiting for two hours. The anger is about to spread and explode. Bush is fugged this time at last.

quickly as more people realize what exactly transpired around this crisis. Bush's numbers soon will make Nixon's Watergate-era numbers look wonderful.

are those kool-aide addicts already in his camp and blind to his deceit and hypocrisy. Those morans that already love him will just keep loving him more and more, but that's all. And even some of those will start bitching about how hard it will be to fill up the SUV's for their daily treks to Walmart.
No, I see his overall numbers continuing to slip further, albeit slowly, down the toilet.
Impeachment, anyone?

Everywhere I've seen, the MSM has been reporting that "the president cut short his vacation," blah, blah, blah. And Americans have this "rally round the chief" mentality when it comes to times of crisis, even when the "chief" did nothing to merit such loyalty.

because of all the photo-ops and the reality that retarded or not he is still our commander in chief. There will also be 9/11 comparisons and the anti-war movement which was just gaining momentum will be put on hold for a while but by October Chimpy will be back in Idaho hiding from Cindy.
