Hastert just made the announcement they are setting up a joint "bipartisan" committee to investigate the government's response to Hurricane Kritina. The report will be due February 15, 2006!

Frist made the point of saying the failures were on the local, state and federal levels.

They walked away as someone in the press was asking why there were no Democrats present at this announcement.

Carville was on Wolfie's show THE SITUATION ROOM with Victoria Clarke--who was singing Rove's talking point--no time to assess blame (read accountability) with victims still being rescued--everything but the crocodile tears.

1. Saw a blog entry about this earlier
http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/09/gop-to-announce-fake-rubber-stamp.html

They have no intention of including anyone who might disagree with their "investigation" this time.

2. But it WILL BE bipartisan!
It'll be the right wing of the Republican party PLUS the far-right wing of the Republican party.

7. Carville was lame
He was pathetic, must have been afraid Mary would raise hell with him if he didn't do the obligatory Dem bashing.

He doesn't represent the Democratic party anymore, sad to say. I used to really admire and respect him, but now he's just a quivering tower of jello.
