not firing Brown makes it look worse for Bush
he is waffling badly. It shows he doesnt have the courage and that he is worried politically. Bad, bad move.

1. You'd think he'd throw one "Christian" to the Lions, just to get
some of the lions off of his back. I mean, what would it cost him? It would be a good move politically; it would shore up some of his eroding base. **Why** doesn't he do it? Maybe he CAN'T; I wonder why.

3. We all, know, however, that at least some of Bush's cabinet knew of this
lie. If the job was obtained on connections, you can be pretty sure someone knew what his job title was.

4. FEMA Chief Relieved of Katrina Command
Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael Brown is being relieved of his command of the Bush administration's Hurricane Katrina onsite relief efforts, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced Friday.

He will be replaced by Coast Guard Vice Adm. Thad W. Allen, who was overseeing New Orleans relief and rescue efforts, Chertoff said.

5. yep, they know they fucked up but don't have the
integrity to do the right thing. So obvious. Yet oh so many will still CHOOSE not to see.

Maybe it's easier to be angry and illogically defensive (* supporters) than to look truth in the face and feel pain, shame, and hopelessness.

6. I agree. What kind of BS is it that he's going to Washington
where he can be more helpful and, if I heard this right, prepare for future disasters? Are they out of their mind?

7. it IS a bad move
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 02:37 PM by Skittles
trouble with bush is he boxed himself into a corner by declaring "Brownie" was "doing a heck of a job" just days ago. And true to form, bush cannot admit a mistake even if it is in the best interest of America - he is a traitorous asshole

And OMG the fact that "Brownie" just didn't RESIGN - real character there
