Was the bar set so low for Bush that he finally tripped over it? |
|
I have a hypothesis that setting the bar so low for a politician means that it is inevitable that soner or later he/she is going to trip over it. Rove & company have made such a fetish out of keeping the expectations low for Bush that when he finally tripped over the low bar it was so spectacular that it was a teachable moment for all but the most fanatical Bush followers. Is that what happened with Katrina?

A disaster such as Katrina is usually a slam dunk for a politician. All you really need to do is show up with some help in tow. This nimrod was came late, was empty handed, and saddled NO with the most incompetent boob in DC. He not only tripped over the bar, I think he probably broke something in the process.

3. You know, you're right. All he had to do was fucking show up on time |

And instead he's doing silly photo-ops with guitars and cakes.
In a tin foil hat moment, I wondered if all this were deliberate, but I couldn't figure out why Junior would deliberately crash and burn.
