Question about the Louisiana 2006 vote!! |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 05:59 PM by rateyes
With so many Louisianans displaced, living in other states across the nation--how will these residents of Louisiana vote in 2006? Will they have to register in the various states where they now reside temporarily and vote in those elections, or will they get to vote absentee in Louisiana, etc. I would think that all of these folk would have a great incentive to vote in 2006, and I don't think most of them will back in their homes by then.
It seems to me that if they aren't given the opportunity to vote and have their vote count in Louisiana, this could get people elected that shouldn't be! My guess is that most of the displaced are Democrats, if not before the storm, surely now.

1. I think the evacuees should be able to vote absentee. |

Could you imagine the stunning blow to the repugs if the Dems take LA, MS and AL in '06. It would be stunning.
