Reinstate wage protection in Gulf Coast

I signed a letter that is being sent to the signer's Congress members and received this from
the organization. Please follow the link and read the letter (Haliburton shouldn't be the only beneficiary of the Iraq War and the Gulf Coast disaster.)

Thank you for taking action to defeat the president's attempt to suspend wage protections for Gulf Coast reconstruction workers. You helped send a message to Washington that we must rebuild the Gulf Coast for the victims of Katrina – not just the privileged few. You helped to underscore that the people hit by the storm must be treated justly and paid decent wages for the hard work of rebuilding their destroyed communities.

This is a unique moment in history where we can, and must, end the politics of privilege that have dominated our government under President Bush. If we win this battle, it can set an important precedent for all of our work ahead to rebuild the Gulf Coast and rebuild America: the right wing agenda that favors privilege over people has no place here, and will not be tolerated.

Ask them to join you in demanding that Congress reinstate the wage protections that were suspended by decree of President Bush and ensure fair wages for Gulf Coast reconstruction workers.
