Who is "ANSWER"? Did I make a mistake signing their anti-bush
petition? I have not heard of then but noticed their signs and heard their speeches during the limited rally coverage on c-span. After signing their petition on line, I have read several posts about their militant posture? Is this true? I am disappointed by the lack of press coverage.

4. Don't ruin my day, the no-brain is on my all time biggest idiot list!
I was serious with my question. I am willing to give support to groups whose cause is justice...but without violence. I had just read that ANSWER is a militant group. Just looking for information.

2. Naw, don't worry about it. They were one of the sponsering
groups. Sometimes they get a little off message, but I wouldn't fret.

6. Thanks mcscajum, info is very helpful.
They have my address but I can cope. I quess I was curious as to how militant they are. I'll probably gets tons of requests for donations now. Teach me to read more before signing up to support a group I really don't know anything about. My thought at the moment was "anyone against bush and the war" is on my side of the fence.

9. A.N.S.W.E.R. does the hard work and you bitch about it
from the sidelines. I really don't understand your knee-jerk reaction to A.N.S.W.E.R. It's a group of activists with cosmetically different but essentially, primarily similar causes who do the heavy lifting to make these great marches and rallies happen.

All of these causes are interrelated. They all show the depths that the bastards who own this country will go to keep everyone down. There is a direct relationship between the occupations of Palestine and Iraq, the economic rape of the world by the capitalist class and the treatment of the working class, poor and people of color in the U.S.

The occupation of Palestine by that client of the U.S. Empire, Israel, is the main reason for the people of the Middle East's hatred toward the amerikan Empire. (Please don't give me any anti-semite bullshit--The Israeli government is not "the Jews" any more than bushco is "the Christians")

It's a pretty cheap investment for the capitalist pigs that run the U.S. and its government. They get a complete army, air force and nuclear weapon equipped military machine to make sure that the oil flows into the tanks of U.S. SUV's for the bargain price of only about $3 Billion per year (the cost of keeping one carrier task force afloat for a year).

The fact that it justifiably pisses off a billion people of the Islamic persuasion is just an unpleasant side effect of their policy.

Ah, well, no biggie, we'll just start a war in Afghanistan the Iraq then Syria then Iran then ??? and kill 'em all off.

So I wouldn't worry about it.

11. ANSWER has always been an anti-war group, going back
to protesting against Clintons war in Kosovo. They have done a fine job of representing the anti-war movement. They of course are not quite a mainstream group, but that's okay too. What are you afraid of having signed their petition....seeing black helicopters circling?
