TV Show May Help Both Bush, Victims Recover
'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' episode will feature the first lady at a Mississippi shelter.

Laura Bush will travel to storm-damaged Biloxi, Miss., to film a spot on the feel-good, wish-granting hit "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Mrs. Bush sought to be on the program because she shares the "same principles" that the producers hold, her press secretary said.

Can anyone recommend a good shrub remover? They're on TV as much as commercials and I so hate those. They think this will help Bush??? How many ways can we say "Give me a break!"

4. My beloved and her mom LOVE this show. I enjoy watching it, too

but they DIG it completely.

And they detest the Bushies as much as I do.

I wonder what this will do to their adoration of the show. Whether they'll keep watching, but skip this one episode, or whether they'll boycott altogether.

OTOH, no matter who was in the WH, this show would probably do an episode w/ the First Lady. It's that kind of show; it was inevitable.

9. The show has done much good for some of the folks

that I have seen on TV. if this is the one I am thinking of where surgeons and dentists and trainers aid someone who culd never afford it.

Pre-Katrina this may have worked, but at the moment food and shelter should be pickles' concern, not Botox. Just MHO.

13. This isn't the plastic surgery show -- this is the renovate the home/build

a new home show. People whose houses are falling apart, or killing them (i.e., allergic kid/mold), or burned down, or a spouse has died and taken away income, etc., etc. They often pay off the mortgage and/or put the kids through school and/or other big stuff, too.

I think that make overs should wait until every single displaced American man and woman has a job- if they want and can handle one.

We need an economic make over.
