1. "I told you so" can be sweet, but in this particular instance it is |
|
also frightening. What is Kim Il George not capable of? This may be the most dangerous time in our country's history...

2. The bio on his site is pretty impressive. |

46 years in journalism (with a brief break in the middle for work on Capitol Hill), awards, yada yada.
I'm glad they're starting to crack inside the bunker. As more news leaks out, the public will come to understand what a nut job we have as POTUS. I hope.

6. All the more reason to take his assessments seriously about bush |
|
hitting the bottle again.
I'm not a drinker, nor is anyone in my family. The elders in the family who were have passed on by now, and nobody at our level has that to deal with directly. Therefore, I put a lot of faith in the observations of others here and elsewhere who either have struggled with alcoholism themselves, or married into it or was a child of it, or otherwise lived it, and walked the walk. Such people see things with eyes that are far better informed and insightful than mine are, and I find their takes on an issue like this incredibly valuable and instructive. So if this guy has been in recovery for eleven years, he's obviously gone through the steps and sought the help that bush still refuses to acknowledge he needs. It's given this guy a perspective that's pretty credible, seems to me.
There are many DUers here who've posted about their experiences with alcoholism, either personal or with a loved one, and I have a LOT of respect for what they have to say. I'm grateful that they're so forthcoming, honest, and willing to share. It helps me understand.

7. This quote pretty much sums it up ... |
|
"We’re the dance band on the Titanic, playing out our last songs to people who know the ship is sinking and none of us are going to make it.”
After five years of * acting like he's "king of the world," it's time to cue Celine Dion to sing the BushCo theme song, "My Hate Goes On."

8. i read the original column.... I like what Doug Thompson has to say |
|
in general, and it seems like he knows a lot of beltway insiders and gets a lot of inside "dish", though I have noticed lots of DUers discredit both him and Capitol Hill Blue. I am not sure why.
