Remember on The West Wing
when two SCOTUS vacancies appeared at the same time? A deal was brokered in which Jed got to appoint a rampant feminist as CJ while the AJ vacancy was filled by a young winger.

Why is it in real life when that happens the real POTUS gets to appoint two incompetent, partisan wing nuts and there is no resistance at all?

Just asking.

2. Because, unfortunately, this is not West Wing, and...
we cannot govern until we win. 2006 is just around the corner. We need to take back the House and the Senate with people we can trust to govern for our good and the good of all the people.

5. There is resistance
And sometimes it's stiff. But the resistance is very outnumbered.
