Okay, so I just spent my Sunday restructuring americannero.com a bit, adding a new blog, adding text to the front page, started work on an Action Center (as of yet unavailable), created a bumpersticker and opened a CafePress shop to sell it.

Okay, I know how annoying "Help me with my grand project!" threads can be. We all have our own brainchildren and to try and recruit people to help you realize your vision is a bit megalomaniacal.

But if anyone has any ideas as to what would improve the site (even just finding a typo or something) or if you would like to contribute content (attributed to you of course) or anything! Please respond here or PM or email me at greatamericannero(-at-)gmail.com

of course pointing me to any resources you think would aid me or let me see what else is out there, etc. would be awesome also.

3. Two sources that might be of interest that you may or may not know about
The article in the Village Voice

Information about what is going on down there with the slaughter of pets and other animals

http://new.petitiononline.com/savepet/petition.html

What it says:

To: U.S. Congress
We the below signed are outraged by the massacre of the pets in the schools in Louisiana as well as the video footage of local law enforcement shooting clearly friendly dogs in the streets. Had laws been in place to allow evacuees to take their pets to a safe center much of this tragedy would not have occurred. Furthermore, this massacre should be investigated to the fullest degree by an independent counsel not beholden to the local politics of St. Barnard Parish. The owners of this animals deserve to know the truth.

Sincerely,

Why it is needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As horrible as it is to imagine, the reality is that dogs have been shot to death in at least St. Bernard Parish. The Dallas News clip sent last week is not just an isolated event.

Animal lovers in the United States need to be outraged, hold the people that have done this accountable and make sure that this is never allowed to happen in our country again. The media needs to accurately report this.
Click on this link for more info. It is graphic and very painful to see, this time the truth hurts very much. I worked w/ Pasado, this is their own personal documentation. They have experience with prosecuting animal abuse.

$10,000 REWARD OFFERED IN SHOOTING OF
DOGS IN ST. BERNARD PARISH

Despite pleas from dog owners in writing scrawled across the walls of a middle school, fourteen dogs, left by their owners in hopes of returning to them, were slaughtered, shot in the body cavity, forcing the dogs to suffer a prolonged death. All were found dead at Beauregard Middle School in St. Bernard Parish, New Orleans.

I met Mark Steinway, this was recently documented and legit.

Mark Steinway, Pasado's Safe Haven Humane Investigator, videotapes dogs shot to death in New Orleans.
