She's a rightwing nutjob - why else would she be a Bush zealot?
If the Dems filibuster, Frist will change Senate rules and confirm her anyway, and the filibuster will be dead...so either way the Dems lose, and we all lose.

1. How long will the Senate stay repub after all these crimes? |

If they kill the Filibuster, we will shove it down their throats for 50 years.....

2. Let them. Republicans will wish they had filibuster later. |
|
Republicans are so power mad, they keep escalating.
Democrats have nothing to lose by going to the mat on this nominee. Unqualified fawning sycophantic cronyism must not be allowed in any position of consequence, and most especially in positions of greatest consequence.

Anyhow I agree that we have little to actually lose by filibustering.
I believe that if they use the nuke option, it will backfire on the repugs.

Unless someone comes forward with some skeleton from her closet, she sails through with more votes than Roberts.

4. I'm not sure Frist could get a majority of Republicans to go "nuclear" |

over Miers. I imagine many of the far-right senators are squirming VERY uncomfortably right now. They wanted to go nuclear, but they wanted to do it for a KNOWN, hard-line conservative with a paper trail.

8. There won't be a filibuster. |

She will be nominated easily. On the bright side, we don't know that shes a 'right wing nut job'. She supported Gore for president, the DNC until the late 80's. Other then bush, she has supported mostly pro-choice candidates. Could be that she was pre-approved by the Dem leadership and bush wants to avoid a fight.
