LMAO, look at this Right Wing response to the Harriet Mier nomination!
from Right Wing News....

snip from "Disaster, Thy Name Is Harriet Miers":

"Keep in mind that we're talking about a woman who has donated to Al Gore, Lloyd Bentsen, & the Democratic National Committee before. You want a candidate who has "Souter" written all over her? You want a candidate who can't be trusted to overturn Roe v. Wade? Well, her name is Harriet Miers.

This is undoubtedly the worst decision of Bush's entire presidency so far."

and more...

1. I personally think its a baited pick.
He knows the Democrats are going to go nuts because of her lack of judicial experience and the fact that she is personally close with Bush. After the Democrats filibuster or reject the nominee. Bush will then squeek in someone like Luttig.

2. Are you kidding me? What grounds do you think we have to filibuster?
Democrats aren't going to do anything about this pick. If anything, Republicans turn it down.

10. Well, it proves what a lot of us have felt all along
Bush isn't the Christian soldier the far right thinks he is. He's been playing them all along. And now they are realizing they've been duped.

Just check out Free Republic if you don't think so.

18. The $$$/Corporate interests are his true love. He used the social
conservatives just to get into this position, not because he is a true believer.

Zero judicial experience for starters.
Personal ties to the administration. This is cronyism at its finest folks.

9. No judicial experience has a long precedent.
That argument isn't going to hold water.

And neither is the cronyism. It'll be a good charge that we can use towards our whole "culture of corruption" meme, but it won't be enough to block the nomination at all.

15. Earl Warren
had no judicial experience. This is the best we could have hoped for.

4. My favorite comment
"If there's one thing that could lose 2006 or 2008 for the GOP, this could be it. Unfortunately, we still need leaders who are strong on the foreign policy front, but many disillusioned conservatives may start jumping ship for third parties if Bush keeps this up. Ergo, the Dems could take back over and make a real mess of things."

Hahahahaha exactly how much more of a mess could there possibly be?
Oh yeah, we haven't invaded Syria ......yet.

there now.

Or they're so stressed over *'s other wonderful actions that they're delusional.

Or both.

12. Here's my favorite comment....
from the 7th one posted after the article...

"How can they discredit someone who has no judicial track record. Janice Rogers Brown or someone that has a strict conservative record is not going to get confirmed in this day and age. Unlike those of you who have jumped off the Predsident's bandwagon, I still have faith in the President's decisions. I will trust his judgement in this until proven otherwise."

7. I find it hard to believe that she donated to Gore, Bentsen and the DNC
or that bush would choose someone who had

Is there any validation of that statement?

16. Donations.....
http://www.ethics.state.tx.us/php/cesearch.html

From what I could figure out by using Texas' rather interesting campaign finance database there is no evidence she donated to anyone LOL

8. Worst decision so far?
HAHAHAHAHAA, damn, um, I'd say that's a MIGHTY low bar there. He's made LOTS of really bad decisions, I don't think this is the WORST. Just another example of what is standard issue for Bush.
