‘Born Again’ Miers or Cronies in Christ

I’m a strong believer in the Separation of Church and State. One’s religious and spiritual views are in all circumstances to be kept separate from the governing bodies of our country. The erosion of the Separation of Church and State is at an all time high under the Bush administration. The WaPo now reports that Harriet Miers, like George W. Bush is a ‘Born Again’ Christian. Does that make them Cronies in Christ? It would appear so.

When Bush said he wanted a Supreme Court Justice who shares his views, he wasn’t kidding. “I know her heart,” Bush told a Rose Garden news conference. “Her philosophy won’t change.”

This new revelation from the WaPo on Miers religious views should be of great reassurance to the religious right who have been up in arms with worries about some of her views including on the subject of gay rights and abortion.

Anyone who thinks that she’s not set up to do Bush’s bidding for his vision of God and country is delusional.
