Alright so which senate seats are most ripe for the taking? |
|
OK, so we have Santorum in PA and DeWine in OH looking pretty vulnerable.
I heard something about MO (Jim Talent) and MT (forgot the sitting senator). How are those looking?
What are the vulnerable Dem seats? It looks like Dems will be facing weaker oppposition than we thought. I am now not as worried about MI (Stabenaw) and WA (Cantwell). How and MN and MD looking now that Dayton and the current Dem in MD have decided to retire?
Taking back the senate looks difficult, but the way thinsg are going the repukes are making it easier.

is considered a DINO by very many people. Her lifetime ADA rating is 92% http://www.adaction.org/lifetimesenwashington.html

voted FOR roberts.
maybe she's not a DINO like zell miller, but she isn't a very inspiring senator. her chief virtue, like maria cantwell, is that she isn't slade gorton.

DeWine, to his credit, is no religious zealot. And because of that, the religious zealots have always been somewhat lukewarm toward him. With Hackett pulling so hard on the independent and moderate voters, it was take a major salvage job by the religious right to hold onto his seat. Will they bother? Stay tuned!

4. Conrad Burns in Montana |

He's involved in the Jack Abramoff scandal in a big way, and Montana is trending toward Democrats. Here's a good article about Burns' little problem... http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/articles/2005/03/29/news/02money.txt

McCaskill (D) has a really good chance. Even this far out, she's tied 46-46 with Talent in a Rasmussen poll, and was trailing only 47-46 in another one I saw.

8. I'd bet that the right guy (or gal) could take george allen's seat |
|
The guy kept a knotted noose in his office when he was a lawyer... One DUer went to high school with the guy 1) He drove around in a pick up truck with confederate flags all over it AND 2) he painted a bunch of anti-white crap on the walls of his high school in California in a effort to start a race riot.... wanted to "kick some nigger ass" he was heard to say..... he had to make a public apology.
