George Galloway Calls Chris Hitchens A Slug That Trails
SLIME!! I agree. I know this debate took place last month, but I just saw parts of it on Democracy NOW with Amy Goodman!

Hitchens has lost ALL credibility with me, I wonder just HOW I used to think he was intelligent! Galloway, a MAN ON A MISSION!!

I realize this isn't BIG news, but I just had to bring it front and center again!

5. Would That Some of HIM Could/Would Spill
Over to Democrats in the Senate!! Yes, Barbara Boxer is a ball of bombastic might, unfortunately there aren't enough of HER!!

The House seems to be doing a better job, but give me JUST ONE Galloway!

I still remember how shabbily Levin treated him when he testified before them. And I have YET to understand where LEVIN was coming from. Is it that he simply can't take the fact that he's protecting his vote???

And what still mystifies me is just WHY so many who voted for the War can't come out and just say... Yes, I DID vote FOR the AUTHORIZATION to go to War, HOWEVER, that was WAAAAAAAAY before we had the REAL facts!! Isn't that something that is plausible to say at this stage in the game?? What I don't understand is WHY it ISN'T being said! I personally believe that MANY could TRY to forgive them for making the HUGE mistake in the FIRST place!

Or am I missing the whole issue here. Does the fact that they voted back then still override any thoughts they may have now?? People change their minds all the time.... ESPECIALLY when they have to realize they were WRONG!!

Seems they still FEAR the Flip-Flop thing! Hey El Smirk Flip-Flops ALL THE TIME!! Harriet Miers comes to mind at the moment as they trot her out for Act II!

7. I agree with you.
Most of us here know the WMDs were false anyway and even wrote our senators to please not vote for this immoral war, but did they listen? Of course not, the pressure on them to hard to bear, the dollar signs, the votes, disappearing before their eyes. So now the wool is no longer over their eyes, so why don't they just come out and say, I made a mistake.

8. The only thing remaining on Hitchen's resume is that he
writes for Vanity Fair. I have been a subscriber to VF for over 20 years and deeply resent the fact they continue to let him soil their magazine with his drivel. Thus, I have written to them asking that he be removed from their pages.

I encourage everyone to write asking that he be kicked under a truck.

11. I felt Hitchens wrote this article in order not to be fired by VF.
As I recall it was a typical wordy article that did not come to a strong conclusion and he managed to trash Kerry in the process.

14. Galloway
I'm a big Galloway fan. He's intellectually formidable, and has the courage to speak the truth. A rare hybrid, indeed.
