What if there are no indictments?? (A Coal and Stones Fitzmas)
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 05:49 PM by nostalgicaboutmyfutr
How sure are those in the know, that there will in fact.....be indictments?

As much as the next person, I would like to see several, involving several players, to see the whole house of cards tumble.....but..

What if 'Fitzmas' turns out to be coal and stones? With only one indictment, or zero indictments?

What if Fitz comes back, and says, 'you know we looked long and hard, and while we uncovered some inappropriate conduct, we can't "prove beyond the shadow of a doubt" there should be indictments'...

Just asking, as I am not sure of the requirement of evidence for an indictment...maybe Fitz wants the indictments, but the grand Jury says "No."?

Thanks for any feedback.

5. "Ten, Twenty years...That's not so bad"-- Sen John McCain
"When asked this week on CNN how long the U.S. military is likely to remain in Iraq, Senator John McCain replied "probably" 10 or 20 years. "That's not so bad," he said, adding, "We've been in Korea for 50 years. We've been in West Germany for 50 years.""

14. McCain should take note
of one obvious difference - the germans and the koreans aren't determined to kill our troops.

Surely, you must know that. We are stuck.

8. I don't think so.
The only thing that will kill GOP, short of multiple criminal convictions, is runaway inflation. In my long experience, that seems to be the only cardinal sin -- the one that our society as a whole will not tolerate.

15. It's Too Late: This Administration Has Exposed the GOP's True Agenda
It will take years for the public to ever trust them again. History should have taught the GOP this lesson before, but it didn't.

16. Excuse me, but
but this administration's agenda and misdeeds were well known BEFORE the election. Even if most voters relied solely on TV soundbites as their source of news, there was, of course, that fully televised and horrifying hate-fest called the Republican National Convention.

3. Well, a while back I thought this might be the case but this has gone on
too long and too much has happened with too many folks going to the GJ for there not to be SOME indictments.

4. If the Hannah story is true, that seems very unlikely.
Hannah wouldn't be talking except to protect himself by incriminating others.

just an empty case.

10. Anything is possible.....but
The two federal judges overseeing this case have given Fitz. extraordinary latitude in pursuing journalists so at the very least he was able to show the judges a whole lot of smoke.
