A Fitzmas Story
I went to dinner tonight with my parents, 2 sisters, and my brother(also a DU'er). My bro and I were wishing them a "Happy Fitzmas next week!"

It turns out that none of them had heard of any of this! Valerie Plame? Never heard of her. And these are lifelong democrats!

My Merry Fitzmas wish for DU'ers is that you imagine the look on the righties faces when they read their morning newspaper some glorious day next week!

2. Indictments will look to many like they came out of left field
Though of course, they'll actually come from the center.

3. It boggles my mind that your family hasn't heard of this.
That's not a slam, but it's been all over the MSM and newspapers. I hope you gave them an earful!

6. The millions who rely on the corporate
whores for their "news" are going to be wondering, "Where did this come from? If senior members of the administration were being investigated, why didn't we know?"

I'm old enough to remember Watergate, and the on-going investigation was front page news every day. The fact that ordinary Americans are unfamiliar with the name Valerie Plame illustrates how low journalists have sunk as they've protected the Bush Crime Family at all costs. Their credibility is as much on the line as the administration's. Maybe Americans will finally start to realize that they've been duped - not only by a thoroughly corrupt criminal administration but by a complicit press which has hidden the truth from them.

10. Has this story really not been on the front page?
I wouldn't know, because I get my news right here on DU where Plamegate is ALWAYS on the front page.

13. Corporate whores are all about missing
teenager in Aruba, dead lawyer's wife in San Francisco area, bird flu, terror alerts, hurricanes, celebrity gossip.....just about everything but Plame. When Plame is mentioned, it gets very short shrift.

DUers have a completely different perspective on this than the vast majority of Americans -- who are completely clueless when it comes to the criminal enterprise known as the Bush Administration.

11. It's sure hitting even msm now...MTP this morning was incredible.
And the cable news networks have been running stories that even say that the indictments may go beyond the scope of the original Plame leak.

So, it's hard to avoid, at this point!

7. Your story doesn't surprise me at all
Only about 10 % of the population actually is politically informed.

We assume people in general have the same level of interest as we do in politics.

9. Today is my (repuke) Mom's birthday
When I called her this morning I was "this" close to also wising her a happy Fitzmas, but I didn't. I consider it a birthday gift to let her off easy. Next week is going to be really hard for the head-in-the-sand RW'ers.
