RIght to Privacy: Amend the Constitution |
|
Right Wingnuts are constantly proposing constitutional amendments to narrow our rights. We on the Left should take back the constitution to expand our rights. We must amend the federal Constitution to guarantee our right to privacy. We should also put up state ballot measures across the country doing the same for state constitutions. Even if our chances are low, we need to be introducing this Amendment every Congressional session until it happens.

1. It's already there, see the 9th and 10th amendments. |

The Constitution can't be used to 'expand our rights'. The Constitution doesn't grant us rights. The Constitution places limitations on the federal government.

Then the amendment should prohibit Congress and the States from limiting our right to privacy. The point is to get the word "privacy" in the Constitution.
