Mobile Alabama Press Register IGNORES Senate shut down
I looked all through today's paper twice for the story - NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO about

Harry Reid shutting down and questioning the Senate

on the Intelligence for the war...........

Yes!

Republicans hate being called to task!

I'm outraged at this newspaper

 :argh: :puke:  :argh: :puke:  :argh: :puke:  :argh: :puke:

If I'm wrong please correct me - but the print edition that I have in my hand does not have an article about it....

it might be online, but it sure did not make the print edition delivered to my house this morning!

Guess what's on the top half of the FRONT PAGE - "that's right" Alito
This isn't the first time I've been upset with them either! Can you tell?

1. Hand-setting movable type takes time
And that whole meaningless, political stunt happened too late in the day to reset a whole front page worth of news. Besides, didja hear it's gonna be Houston and Chicago in the World Series?

A very small mention way, way in the back of the paper.

13. Hello Dear
We are fine and dandy. Lost alot of trees and had to replace carpeting in bedrooms on the east side of the house. Lost about 25 shingles and some fascia but other than that we are good. Its incredible that we (our home in Pearl River County) and our immediate neighbors did so well considering Pearlington just 20 miles south got wiped off the map. I hate to say this but we had no trouble with FEMA, the red cross or our insurance company. But to be honest, I'm getting paranoid about "hurricane season." Thanks for asking. How's things in Bama?

4. My local ABC station called it a "nasty" shutdown
I intend to lodge a complaint re: their editorializing.

8. I'm amazed that the South
which suffered years under Republican Reconstruction after the Civil War could ignore the same mentality of carpetbaggers that are engaged in reconstruction after Katrina and Rita.

14. Oh, but haven't the Mobile Register's editorials been fair & balanced?
NOT!!! Why George W. is a strong and fearless leader, just so misunderstood by the meany Democrats, and Wilson keeps telling all those lies! I do declare, that paper set the record straight for me.

The only saving grace for the editorial page is J. D. Crowe's cartoons.

21. Here's a link to bombard them with Letters to the Editor
http://www.al.com/mobileregister/?lettereditor.html

You might have to list your zip code, age, and gender before accessing that page. It's not a full registration. Just takes a few seconds.
