Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 03:01 PM by BOSSHOG
the evil bastard, who is one more example of why conservative voters are the number one domestic enemy of the constitution, is going to a lot of trouble to defend himself against charges by attacking the Prosecutor, the Judge, the City of Austin as he loudly proclaims his innocence. Me thinks he doth protest too much.

And his money raising machine keeps chugging along. Why? Because republicans believe he is innocent and want justice done? NO! He's raising a lot of money for as the article states - "People are still afraid of him." Leadership through fear and intimidation, because he doesn't know any other way.

4. Tom, no doubt, is guilty.
But just because he's attacking the judge and prosecutors, that's not evidence against him. He's entitled to use all legal resources and means to defend himself, no matter what he's done, same as a common murderer or rapist. These are common enough court room tactics, and are firm parts of our constitutional system.

I'd hate to see the day in America when even a Republican couldn't defend himself in court. Or when he wasn't entitled to a presumption of innocence.
