Can Someone Give Me Hope for OH in '06? |
|
Reading a few posts, I keep hearing that on the local level, Democrats are absolutely kicking the stuffing out of Repunks in Ohio -- yet, on these RON initiatives that were supported by the same Repunk establishment that holds under 20% approval ratings in the state, they all go down to defeat by close to a 2-1 margin.
Man, this has me down about my home state.
If the Repunks, even with all this crap against them, can STILL manage to mount a campaign that totally shreds the Democrats, where the Hell can the Democrats win in Ohio? I hear the leading Dem gubernatorial candidate may have "marriage" issues, which would mean that bastard Blackwell could still somehow waltz into the state house.
Is the GOP that good? Is our side that inept? Are Ohioans outside of Cleveland and Akron that goddamned stupid? Or is Diebold that evil and that in control?
Please. I have to think Ohio isn't turning into Indiana (no offense to Indianans, I guess). Can someone reassure me?????

2. Yes, Mayors race in Cincinnati |
|
In the Mayor's race in Cincinnati the more progressive of the 2 Democrats running in the non-partisan mayoral election won. State Senator Mark Mallory defeated Councilman David Pepper in a close race (51% to 48%).

flip... Any ballot messure that is pass, they can make it flip it. I truly believe, this is what is going on. BH fro blackbox voting had this informtions on her web and I received email from her today. Only way anything can change, people from Ohio have to take it street and demand paper ballots and this must be done every day until people win.

4. Most Dem leaders in Ohio appear to be extreme wimps; have some |
|
Dems run for office that have some guts and integrity. And Dems and Independants need to get more involved and quit allowing the corrupt practices to go on. They could stop such anytime they decide its worth the effort.
