So **** has his I am not a crook moment.
Last Veterans Day W stood before the American people and emphatically refuted the notion that he misled the country to war in Iraq. He did this because he knows it is true ,and that it is unlikely for the American people to ever forgive him. The only way he can save his agenda for the second term and his legacy is to convince the nation otherwise, even though this draws even more attention to the allegation.

This is reminiscent of the beleaguered Richard Nixon stating,"I am not a crook", and Bill Clinton's statement that he did not have sexual relations with a young intern if the oval office.

The people never forgave Nixon for his abuses of power. They did eventually forgive Clinton for having sex with a young lady in the oval office, who wasn't his wife, and lying about it after he admitted it all. But *Bush has something they didn't have, an elaborate propaganda machine, consisting of right wing radio hacks, journalists and others who can twist the truth and drumbeat it around the country. Will they succeed? My hunch is that the truth will prevail.

2. The bush support squad is in a full court press to bolster his image.....
and attempt to stop his plunging poll numbers. I do not believe it will work and his poll numbers will continue downward.

6. He's getting things out of sequence...
He's supposed to go to China *first*, then later on have his "I am not a crook" speech.

It's like we're stuck in a Bizarro-world Nixon flashback.
