the Woodward Bombshell
Ask yourself these questions:

Who did Bob Woodward have interest in and special access to in the Bush Administration?

Who was Bob Woodward spending time near and conducting interviews with in 2003?
(note: Woodward has already admitted classified topics were discussed with/in front of him)

Who was/is Bob Woodward writing a book about??

*

- Bob Woodward kept this secret for 2 years, even denying involvement or interest up until this week. He must have been under intense pressure, he said he had to "hunker down more than usual".

- Bob Woodward did not reveal his source of his own will. Fitzgerald compelled him to after being tipped off to what Woodward knew.

- The day of the Libby indictment, the day of the phantom "Woodward Bombshell", Fitzgerald, himself, made a visit to the personal attorney of the President.
(note: not the Administration atty, the Personal atty)

- Right around the time the Libby indictment came down, Woodward's 'unknown source' revealed their interview to Fitzgerald.

- Based on this revelation, Fitzgerald likely decided not to indict Libby on leaking, only on the easily proven charges of perjury.
(This may also be why Rove has not been indicted...)

- Fitzgerald contacts Woodward Nov. 3, tells him he knows his secret. Fitzgerald brings Woodward in to testify.

- Woodward's source allowed him to testify, but will not let Woodward reveal his identity.

*

He doesn't need to tell,
the World will know soon enough

Woodward did have a BombShell...

are you thinking what I'm thinking???

1. People are saying it's Hadley. Sounds like you're inferring that it is
George?

6. Ooops. Sorry, I didn't see your post before I made mine.
So, perhaps that rumor is universal?

4. also
- Woodward said it was revealed casually and he took this to mean that it wasn't "classified or sensitive"...
Who did Woodward have access to that might speak "casually" about CIA operatives?

- Woodward told Downie, his Editor at the WP, a month ago about this.
Listen to this editor here: http://www.canofun.com/blog/videos/cnnleonarddownienov1605.wmv

particularly this:

Wolf: "Why not, without revealing the source, just tell your readers what's going on?"

Downie: "Because the source didn't allow us to, the source was insisting on maintaining the confidentiality of this particular part of his interviews with Bob... and the rest of his interviews with Bob, for that matter."

Interviews with Bob, eh
for a Book, maybe?

5. Stephen Hadley, isn't it?
But, perhaps he waited until now so that Libby would not be left holding the bag.

So, it turns out to be a good thing that Libby wasn't simply indicted for reavealing Plame's ID. He'd be off scotty free, by now.
