If we are selling our country to China and Japan so we have enough money to run the country and we are also giving the wealthiest Americans over 30 billion in tax cuts cuts...
...then we are selling America to give a small group of elite Americans more money. Simple as that. We now have a class system.
This is not the America Americans believe they live in. This is not a Christian approach. It is pure greed.

2. Absolutely -- America IS the MIDDLE CLASS |
|
which the current cabal is dead-set on eliminating. Without the middle class, this country will no longer be an "experiment in democracy" and will become a third world banana republic.

9. That sounds exactly like conservative Republican Lou Dobbs speaking... |
|
and perhaps one of the reasons Bush's approval rating will continue to drop very low!

13. Actually I was echoing a caller on Randi's show today |
|
saying that "America is the middle class." If Dobbs agrees, then maybe he's doing an Arianna Huffington (and coming to his senses about the Thugs).

15. I don't always agree with Dobbs, but... |
|
he has been rabidly going after the Administration for destroying the middle class, selling out America and bringing it to ruin, etc. It's fun to watch.

3. Repub leaders laugh hysterically at our gullibility. The world laughs |

at us also. Yes, you're accurate. Borrow to pay off the rich.
I think they laugh at us the most about accepting their privatzed voting system - Republican hardware, software, technicians, transmittals, little doors, and their own msm who pay for exit polling, therefore making them owners of the data which they can manipulate any which way they want. Then, they get to call THE RESULTS that they decided on.
Privatized voting. Isn't it just perfect for them? How did it happen? We gave them a great big gift - the country, our soldeirs, our rights, our earth, our atmosphere. Hoorahhh for the corporations, reverends, bankers, military brass nd all the stockholders of the corporations.
Yep - we just gave it to them and few want to take back the vote.

8. we always have been sold |
|
ww2 gave us a chance but the neo- liberals and neo-cons have done everything in their power to stop the rising middle class that would threaten their wealth and political power. we had a brief 30 year rise in the standard of living then in the early 70`s it started to erode away to what we have now...as jimmy said the other day-this isn`t the country i knew..

10. W States of America (WSA)? |
|
some DU'ers were talking about this yesterday, freeper baseball caps with WSA on it instead of USA (it's sneaky reference to the CSA ie confed. states of america) it must be nice to claim the privileges of the rebel, while sitting in charge of every branch of government, and still run the country with only one interest group in mind, while indifferent to the mess being created, all while hearing the pigmedia sing your praises!

Temporary program needs to be PERMANENT and gradually raise the rates back to what can sustain government. The middle class has disappeared before our eyes and all that paper (money, stocks, bonds ) insulates the wealthiest from figuring out what Lincoln and Brandeis already knew
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." -- U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864 (letter to Col. William F. Elkins
"You can have great wealth or a democracy, but you cannot have both"---Louis Brandeis
