This War Resolution Vote Is A Total Fraud
Witness the 2 Republican "yea" votes that just disappeared from the screen.

They were only up there to entice Democrats into voting "yea."

Democrats did the correct thing in voting "no" or "present."

You don't vote "yea" and go on the historic record endorsing a Republican political stunt.

4. And so this insane stupid stunt ends not with a bang but with a whimper,
and appropriately so.

They must be disappointed, the repugs.

5. On Anderson Cooper
a few minutes ago, Anderson, as well as Bill Snyder, said in so many words it was a republican stunt to try to make the Democrats look bad. Snyder mentioned the sound of squealing tires as they all took off on their vacation tonight, but he said that instead of a "vacation," in reality they will be going home to answer to their constituents for what they pulled today. I am sure he was talking about the republicans, because he seemed pretty pissed off at them.

6. Very good.
Republicans just do NOT GET IT.

They still think it is all PR, all spin, all political all the time.

You know the "Left Behind" books? They're about the Repubs.

(supposedly about the "rapture")

To someone starving in NO after Katrina you can't spin their stomachs into feeling full. Or bring back people who died needlessly there and in the war by spin.

Spin and all the bogus carp that passes for governing only works for a limited time. Then that nasty old reality begins to creep in, slowly but surely.

One step at a time, until voila! They're lost in their self-created unreality, while the rest of the world is trying to fix all the holes, cracks, fissures, floods, vermin, ill will, and ill winds a blowing that they created in our all too real, fragile ecosphere planet Earth.

:puke:

7. Something I didn't understand....
15 minutes are given to vote. Each time, many Reps waiting until the 15 minutes were up to vote so that the numbers changed dramatically at the tail end. Why are they given more time after the clock runs out (or is that simply a C-SPAN clock and nothing official)?
Thanks,
emdee

beginning this afternoon and I must give the Democrats credit for they were taking no prisoners when it came to this debate. Whenever the Repubs tried to say this was Murtha's resoultion they would seek a "Parlimentary inquiry" and force the chair to say it was Duncan Hunter's resolution, and tonight even forced Stephen Buyer to apoligize to Murtha for saying it was Murtha's resolution, but the best was when the Democrats raised hell after the Ohio woman Schmidt was forced to apoligize for reading something a so called Marine Captain said calling Murtha a coward".

It was well worth the 6 plus hours, because I saw the House Democrats all join together and became one damn bear..... A GRIZZLEY....

9. I didn't know that happened
But yes it was a total fraud. A democrat, can't remember who, told how the person who created the bill was voting against it and urging others to vote against it so this should show you what they were up to.
