1. Here's one I love for a wide range of topics...
and yes, it has links to liberal and conservative viewpoints and just straight newstories. I like the fact that it has exposed me to a lot of international newsources as well as book reviews and academic journals.

3. Substance over style any day for me.

If you scroll down during the week, he does harder news (usually on the lefthand column)on weekdays. Righthand column is usually academia, with the middle column for book reviews, etc.

6. Political Theory Daily Review
Thanks to tx_dem41 for the plug. I just wanted to let new visitors know that the most recent links (those posted over the weekend, on "theology and religion", for example) are not very representative of the kind of links usually posted. Scroll down to last week's links to see the more usual kind.

Again, thanks for the plug.

7. Welcome to DU, Alfredo.
I have been reading your site since about this time last year. I am a daily reader and just wanted to offer my appreciation for the work you do and the sources that you have introduced me too. When you cut back temporarily during the spring, I was lost for awhile. I was happy to see you come back with gusto!

Again, thank you for the effort you put into the site.

11. Thanks! It's great to be here.
This virtual community will help me cope with Texans' vile reactions to liberal pacifist opinions like mine. I live in Dallas.

I was traumatized by the picture of the 12-year-old boy protesting against Cindy Sheehan with the picture of hunter-Bush and the turkey with the Cindy-head. I don't know if people get that extreme in other states or if it is primarily Texas and other southern states.

Why don't these people feel shame?

12. DU and Yahoo political news
Edited on Sun Nov-27-05 08:40 PM by quinnox
That's it. No blogs.

Sometimes I will take a gander at free republic to see what they are talking about.

For those interested in Yahoo politics, you go to Yahoo news and on the top you see the politics section. I highly recommend it, it is a nice one stop source for all the current political news.

13. My Must Reads - every day:
1) talkingpointsmemo.com
2) slate.com (for the Kinsey articles)
3) salon.com (for the war room page)

With these, and of course the DU editorials/breaking news, I get everything I need to know via primary content or links.
