Words are important - We need to call it: BUSH's WAR! |
|
Its BUSH's WAR. He did it. Its all his war. He could have stopped it, but he did'nt! So its BUSH's WAR!
Bush is an IDIOT. ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS BUSH's WAR is also AN IDIOT!
BUSH's WAR!
Don't call it anything else.
---------------
Other words to use: MILITARIST!
JOE LIEBERMAN IS A MILITARIST!
GEORGE BUSH IS A MILITARIST!
When you wanna call them a NAZI or a FASCIST. bite your tounghe! CALL THEM A MILITARIST! You can also call them a KILLER OF IRAQi BABIES. OR A BUTCHER! All these are true. Essentially the N and F word are a No No!
They arent Nazi's, nazi's have swastikas and hate jews. Nope they're MILITARISTs!!!!

It's Bush's invasion and occupation.
Words DO matter. You're correct.

4. As long as bombs keep going off I think it qualifies as a "war" |
|
IMO
War on Drugs, War of Poverty, now those are 'occupations' but what is happening in Iraq is a real guerrilla asymetrical civil and generalized 'war'

are perfect in terms of illustrating how inaccurately that word has been used. Those were "programs," and the use of the word "war" was supposed to illustrate how deeply committed the government was to eradicating those problems.
We can all see how well that little idea has worked.
No, it's not a war - not by any definition, not by any stretch of the imagination. Bombs going off do not constitute a war. Patriots fighting to get us out of their country is nothing but self-defense. They're trying to vanquish the invaders.
War is between two countries who have a beef. Iraq had no beef with us, and, the truth is that we had none with Iraq.
This was America invading, and then occupying, Iraq, destroying most of the country in the process - for no good reason.
Actually, the US hasn't truly been at "war" since WWII.

10. That's a legal view, and true 'legally'. Still I say 'a war' is going on |
|
in Iraq, whether Congress declares one or not. Two battles are going on.. One is an anti-US geurilla moslty Bombing campaign in which we die and they live. So that's an ongoing 'battle'. A battle we are losing, I'm sure you agree. Another thing that is growing and getting worse is Civil War. That is pretty much a war any way you slice it. Like many other 'civil wars' it is both a sectarian 'war', which someone said i think is politics by other means AND a proxy war mostly between Iran and the US.
What I'm talking about is propaganda and how to take advantage of the DISASTER FOR the 'good' of Democratic political race in 2006. 2006 is the BUSH WAR Election. Its about MILITARISTS vs Democracy. Its about the DLC vs Dean. The primary is going to be just as good as the election when people who stood against the Bush WAr win and the DLC types lose.

12. It's hardly a legal view |
|
When anyone calls this invasion a "war," they give it a legitimacy that it does not deserve.
Words have power, and if you're talking about propaganda, then you are duty-bound to use the correct words.
Truth, after all, is the most powerful propaganda of all.

15. Saying there has been no wars since WWII is so a legalistic argument |
|
which I agree with, technically. But historically speaking its crazy! Iraq is just, what? 'a police action'. Mission accomplished? So if its not a "war" what is it?
How about "BUsh's Murderous Adventure in Iraq"

18. One more thing, conselor, I think Bush is guilty of War Crimes! |
|
So it has to be a war.
Plus Bush's War rolls off the lips ever so easily.

I have discovered that those words (of truth) make the heads of religiously insane members of bush's base spin in a manner to put Linda Blair to shame. Yes words mean things.

I've been calling it the George Bush War, or Bush War a fairly regular basis for a while.
Back in the day it didn't bother anyone, but, as it continues to drag on, it's starting to bother the ditto-heads, and they're suddenly trying to pretend that it was the Democrats who started the war.

9. If we could get half as 'on message' as the Republicans are... |
|
we cannot fail. In the past, movements used slogans, now we have soundbites. Simple concepts are the only way to get thru a ditto head mentality.

11. And might I add that the party in charge are the "REGRESSIVES" |
|
I've been using "Bush's War" for about a year. Even have a bumper sticker idea: It's Bush's War He started it He doesn't know why he started it He doesn't know how to end it. He wants your kid to fight for him.
As for the 'regressive' label. I think it really encapsulates their program in one word. Bring back the bad old days! ( the '50s sucked, and the 1890s were the real pits and that is where we are headed.)
