1. As soon as they are "Reborn", the
Religious Right comes zooming in to defend their hides. Cheap-ass way to garner support.

4. Nope, Cunningham got CONVICTED....
If he goes to jail, god will have to take a number. Duke Cunningham will first find a LaShawn, Bubba, or Big Daddy Mac waiting for his ass.

His conservative family values won't help him there. His "tough on crime" stance might not be so tough after all. tsk, tsk.

5. I wonder how much God likes being whored by these kinds of people?
they had no problem with their conscience while doing their dirty deeds, but the minute they get caught, they're flagging down Jesus for a free ride through the gauntlet.

6. Dr. Johnson was wrong; patriotism isn't the last refuge of a scoundrel,
religion is.

7. People in Power since the beginning of Religions have done this.
They use god to control the people and divert attention away from their faults.

10. Yup, it's the good ol' Talibornagain strategy!
Find god and the religious whackos will come out of the woodwork to defend your sorry ass. Really sad and pathetic politics if you ask me.
