To the republicans:
Remember when you guys told us Bush would never invade Iraq, that he was just "saber-rattling"?
Remember when you guys said if there weren't WMDs, you'd call for Bush's impeachment?
Remember when you guys said There was no need for oversight at Gitmo because they were honorable american soldiers who would never abuse prisoners?
Remember when you guys said Iraq was involved in 9/11?
Remember when you guys said Bush was a good christian?
Remember when you guys said Saddam was evil because he tortured Iraqis?
Remember when you guys said we were liberating Iraq and they would throw flowers at our feet?
Remember when you guys said we were bringing democracy to Iraq?
Remember when you guys said there were no neocons?
Remember when you guys said it was tinfoil hat thinking to believe that the Bush administration was stovepiping intelligence?
Remember when you guys said Rove was not involved in outing Plame?
Remember when you guys said it was treason to disagree with the president? Now that fellow republicans are disagreeing, does that make them traitors, too?
Remember when you guys said there's no way americans would be held without trial or representation, that habeus corpus prevented that?
Remember when you guys said you were compassionate conservatives but you did nothing while black people drowned after Katrina?
Remember how you guys said comparisons of Bush to Hitler were reprehensible because Bush didn't have any secret torture camps?
Remember when you guys said there wouldn't be a permanent military presence in Iraq, and you denied the fourteen military bases were permanent?
Remember when you guys said all Iraq had to do was have an election and the insurgency would cease?
Remember when you guys said the Abu Ghraib photos were "just a few bad apples"?
Remember when you agreed that the Geneva Convention, the UN, and the Hague were irrelevant, but that we would never torture anyways, so being held accountable was an insult?
Remember when you guys said the media was liberal? Remember when you guys said Gannon, Armstrong, and Foxnews were not paid propaganda arms of the Bush administration?
Remember when you guys said it was unfair to bring up someone's military career (or lack of it)?
Remember when you guys said it was being paranoid to bring up the ghosts of McCarthyism concerning labeling dissent as treason?
Remember when you guys said having republicans control all three branches of government was not going to lead to rampant corruption?
Remember when you guys said republicans were into small government, and fiscal responsibility? Whatever happened to that?
Remember when you guys thought perjury was an impeachable offense, until just recently when you decided it was no big deal when republicans did it?
Remember when you guys said Saddam was evil for using chemical weapons?
Remember when you guys said we would never use White Phosphorous, napalm or indiscriminate weapons against our enemies because we are diligent in reducing accidental deaths among innocent civilians.
Remember all that?
I sure do.
And I'm not going to let you forget it, either.
You have elected, and aided and abetted a war criminal, bent on world domination, supporting of torture. Because of you, 2,400 or so american soldiers, brave heroes are dead, and because of you, well over a hundred thousand Innocents Iraqis have been slaughtered. Because of you, The US has alienated former allies, created countless new enemies, and brought the entire globe to the brink of world war.
And I'm not going to let you forget it, either.
This is YOUR FAULT, every damn one of you that voted for this administration, that apologized for it, that covered up its crimes, that spun reality in your favor, that ignored the tortured or trivialized their suffering, that attacked criticism as unpatriotic, that turned a blind eye to the growing fascism.
This is YOUR FAULT.
YOU created this monster.
