If every Senator and Congressman were investigated as Duke Cunningham? |
|
...what percentage would be found to have accepted bribes from lobbyists and in some way, had enriched themselves illegally? Is Cunningham the only one? I doubt it. My guess would be that 25% or more would be guilty of some illegality. That is just a guess. It may be more or less. But with influence of money and lobbyists, I don't see how many of them can keep their hands clean. Your opinion...?

2. 75 percent would be gotten on at least something |
|
while 25 percent (of that number) would be down and dirty with the dogs. And that includes Democratic icons such as Reid, Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi. I personally think that power corrupts and the need for power is therefore suspect. One of my more radical thoughts.

Take McCain of AZ who has become super rich. His wife is rich because her family own big business in liquor. But McCain was not rich. He was just a regular military guy. How did McCain become so extremely rich on a Senator's salary?
