A conservative lied about his military record - can you believe it?
And I'm not talking about bush. Seems a law professor in Indiana said he was harrassed by "left leaning" professors because he was an Army Veteran who supported the war. But it seems the good republican was lying about his military record. Imagine.

For those knowledgeable in such things, check out his dates of service and his discharge rank. Pretty Awesome huh?

Lying about your military record to gain gravitas - another conservative value.

1. I remember watching this guy
and could hardly believe he was denied tenure because he was an army veteran.

This is because this is unbelievable
and if something seems unbelievable, it usually isn't true.

10. I once knew of an Ensign
(Navy equivalent of 2nd Lt.) who was promoted even while charged with manslaughter. It's not terribly difficult to go from O-1 to O-2.

At least, it's not supposed to be. How bad do you have to be not to get a "gimme?"

3. A Con lying? Inconceivable!
Ever notice how these guys are always "Special Forces" too? How many people have you met that claimed they were "Seals"? Dudes couldn't be a zit on a Seal's butt. There is a website that specializes in exposing fraud, it caught that CA (I think) candidate who had himself a Seal lapel pin.

4. red flags
He was a conservative, (conservatives don't join the regular military, guards or reserves maybe)
He was a war supporter, (most combat vets I know don't support this war in Iraq)
Another chickenhawk comes home to roost or roast.

http://www.nhgazette.com/news/chickenhawks/chickenhawk_headquarters/

Not many surprises here except he didn't take any bribes or kickbacks, that we know about, and he is not running on his WAR record for some state or national office.

8. Shocking!
Another lying RW chickhawk poser. Unlike most, this liar actually served and completed his service, but so poorly that he didn't at least make 1st Lieutenant in 6 years.

Wow, great job, professor. :eyes:

11. Also, BOSS, notice he supports the "war," BUT BAILED RIGHT AFTER 9/11!
If six years as a 2nd looie weren't sorry enough, this "war supporter" was dicharged one month after 9/11. Guess he didn't want to stick around and fight the good fight?

I don't think he was liked in the Army any more than he was in the University.

12. Let's email O'Liely
Surely, this is worthy of a "no spin" comment by the weasel.

"...Meanwhile, Bradford promoted himself. He blogged on the law school's student Web site. He did radio interviews. He went national on "The O'Reilly Factor." David Horowitz, a champion for conservatives, took up his cause..."

 :patriot:

13. Not just a liar, a stupid liar.
We didn't fight in Bosnia!

"One of Bradford's allies, Professor Henry C. Karlson, pointed out that Bradford was the real deal -- awarded the Silver Star and a major in the Special Forces. Bradford said he was in the infantry and military intelligence. He fought in Desert Storm and Bosnia, he said.
On the law school's Web site and its Viewbook, Bradford was profiled as being in the Army infantry from 1990 to 2001. He wore a Silver Star lapel pin around campus. He had a major's gold-leaf insignia plate on his vehicle."

16. Isn't this kind of fraud a crime in the military?
The military should Court-Martial him and send him to Leavenworth.

17. Not surprising at all
this happens all the time. This guy just got caught lying.

Generally the more macho -- shoot 'em dead speeched the more likely the jerk is lying about his military service record (and often there is NO service record OR the jerk flunked out of boot camp).

Since my very first breath of life was military air -- I generally can spot a phony "Vet".
