Let's define priorities and let the Party and candidates come to us? |

1. I like your priorities, they are rallying points |
|
We'll never agree on everything, save wanting the GOP out of power (the Lieberman apologists excepted, perhaps). But that's as good a start as any.
I'll take a Democrat I agree with 70% of the time over any Republican. At least I know the trend line is heading in the right direction. But then, I don't have a shitload of time, like some of the young whippersnappers--life is short, and it gets shorter the older you get.
I want improvement for the next generation, NOW, while I am still on my feet and can see that we are steering the right course. If we have to do it incrementally, I can LIVE with that.

2. Rallying points might help get that sense of urgency going |
|
The notion that this is NOT urgent is an illusion.

When you look at the BIG picture, the LONG view, our team agrees on far more than we disagree on.
I only wish the hyper-purists would be a bit pragmatic. I don't expect that my world view will always prevail, but if I can get a good slice of pie, I can live with that, and hope, down the road, for more!

both boards groaning under the weight of all the "How are we Dems different-- let us count the ways" threads.......... which eventually squished the OP out of the picture.......

12. It's a great approach. |
|
This what came out of those old neighborhood Dem meetings. Don't know why it can't be done over the net. Ideas can float. Your primary list is great and I endorse those. Need a format for input.
