Taking Bets: Rove Indictment BEFORE or AFTER B*sh's State of the Union? |
|
My mother always said my glass was "half full". I believe there WILL be a Rove Indictment, the question is when?
The Monkey will give his State-of-The-Union speech in January (anybody know the date?). Now, wouldn't it be just LOVELY if an indictment dropped, much like the 2006 crystal ball in Times Square, and landed SPLAT at the WH door, right BEFORE this pompous ass reads his State-of-the-Union screech? Ooooh, wouldn't that just rattle the swaggering chimp! Imagine, could we even see him with the shadow this would cast!
I am talking to believers only, and not the cynics among us. Those who believe that Rove will be INDICTED, do you think it will come down BEFORE or AFTER Chimpy's SOTU?
Asking just for fun.

2. Wouldn't it be delicious if it coincided with Delay's TX conviction? |

4. It would be nice, but I don't think it will be that soon. |

I'm guessing March some time. Fitz doesn't seem to be in any great hurry, but much more concerned about being thorough and certain.
As gratifying as it would be to have indictments close to the SOU speech, I would prefer them a bit leter in 06. The closer you get to November, the more they will remain on people's minds when they vote!

6. I'm certainly hoping for a day or so before the SOTU address . . . |
|
I so love that dazed look Schimpanski gets when reality whups him upside the head. It can't happen often enough for me.
However, while I'm not a cynic (well, maybe I am, but in this context I'm trying not to be), I'm not sure Rove is indictable for the Plame mess. An aider and abettor of war crimes and election fraud, sure, but maybe untouchable when it comes to wrecking our nonproliferation efforts.
I'm also a bit nervous that the wounds the administration has taken of late are beginning to scab over and heal. We need more scandals to keep hitting, about one a week. Surely there's enough raw material out there . . .
