4. Among the dead: 3 children ages 1, 2 and 3 |
|
They will probably be counted as "insurgents" in the military's records. Very tragic and it has been happening since the first days of the war that civilians' cars have been riddled with shots. Among the secondary victims - all those soldiers who slaughtered that family will have psychological problems the rest of their lives from this - but the current level of VA care for returning vets will provide 1/2 hour of psychotherapy every month, after being on a waiting list for at least six months.

5. Of course we can believe it.... |

...because other stories like this have been reported.
Last night, on CNN--there was a special report about Iraq.
Jane Araff narrated a gut-wrenching story about an Iraqi man who feared for the safety of his wife and six children--due to the violence in his town. So, he sent them to Baghdad to be with other family members. On the way into Baghdad, US forces opened fire on the car--and all six children were killed. The woman kept shouting, "Please don't shoot!" and she ran toward the US troops, begging them to stop shooting at the car, which contained her children. US forces shot and killed this mother as ran toward the US soldiers, screaming and pleading for them to stop shooting.
The man lost his entire family.
Araff said this was ONE of the thousands of heartbreaking stories that she had witnessed in Iraq.
She also mentioned that the soldiers who killed these children and the mother---were horribly traumatized.

you are part of the problem. This kind of "incident" is happening DAILY in Iraq. Most go unreported. Those of us within earshot hear the desperate cries of grief-stricken families.
