Moron talking point may be coming to a paper near you |
|
Gotta love this. "We ought to be thankful there were no WMD." The brilliant conservative mind continues to rant in the local paper that evil liberals distorted this news merely for political gain and that by god its time for this bickering to stop. We need to pull together to win the war in Iraq and bring our Soldiers home.
There must be some solace in wanting to be ignorant. Wander into any conservative chat room and listen in wonderment. Its the hitler youth, the hitler middleaged and the hitler elders all blathering on about what they are instructed to blather on about. No doubt a new talking point will be forthcoming to a paper near you.

Why don't they just say that the Iraqis should be thankful that Sadaam is not torturing them anymore, who cares if we are.

3. Future talking points to watch for ... |
|
"We ought to be thankful that over two thousand American soldiers are dead - think of the money we'll save not having to pay out on their military pensions."
"We ought to be thankful that we've created a haven for terrorists in a country where they didn't exist before - at least we know where they are now."
"We ought to be thankful that this war is costing so much - Halliburton really needed the money."
"We ought to be thankful we're continually killing innocent Iraqis - now there'll be fewer of them to come after us later."
"We ought to be thankful we overthrew Saddam's torturous regime ... now WE get to be No. 1 on the Top Torturers list!"

4. I AM thankful there were no WMDs. |
|
Before the Iraq War commenced I tried to guess whether Saddam would use WMDs in his own defense. I came out 50/50 on it. The defining factor in my mind, was whether he thought the US troops would try to capture him, or kill him out right. If they were to capture him, then it would be to his benefit to NOT use WMDS. If he was to be killed, then he'd use WMDs to take as many with him as possible.
I've talked with some who were involved in the first Gulf War, about their WMD training and preparedness, amongst other topics. Despite even our best preparedness, fighting against WMDs would have been nasty and costly in terms of lives. I didn't want that.
However, as we all now know, there were no remaining WMDs.

5. Doesn't that contradict what Fox told the moran? |
|
that we found WMDs in Iraq?
And weren't they the ones who were saying WE wanted our boys (and girls) killed by the WMDs?
These people spin so much their kids are going to be born with corkscrew pussies . . .
