Kerry pulls the plug

Dear ()

Yesterday I heard from Secretary of State Bill Galvin that he has decided not to run for Governor and will instead run for re-election. This means I have to end my candidacy before it fully began.

I cannot tell you how much the support and encouragement of so many people has meant to me. I have been touched and excited and was looking forward to drawing on that energy and activism to bring change to our government. One important part of getting our country back on the right path is to elect secretaries of state who will stand up for voting rights and restore faith in our election system.

I don’t know what the future brings, but I know that I intend to stay involved. I hope you will as well.

I wish you the very best for the holidays and the new year and look forward to being in touch.

With gratitude,

Cam Kerry

4. Very sad, he seems like a very sincere man. I liked what I saw of him in
2004 during his brother's campaign.

7. I have no idea what his advice was on Nov 3rd 2004.....
I only saw a few interviews with him, none vastly informative. Just seemed like an okay guy.

9. Galvin is a fine SOS
The incumbent - A Democrat - Bill Galvin, is a fine SOS. He was SOS when MA had the falling chads case, in US Representative primary. He is a good guy, but with a personality that is not magnetic (hence the fact he is not running for governor).
